As an avid user of New Balance shoes for running/hiking, I often purchase my shoes off of Joe's New Balance Outlet, where the shoes are actually shipped directly from New Balance. Unfortunately, my ideal size and width is rare to come by and sells out quickly, so using a combination of Symfony Panther, Selenium, and some logic I was able to quickly put together, I have a script that checks their site and notifies me when new shoes I might be interested in show up, and when they are available in the size(s) I am targetting.
